Slower Windows by every day

At times you may have thought, Is it just a thinking or your windows based computer is getting slower??

If you think it is slower day by day then you are right !!!

Yes, as days passes you computer become slower. There are many many reasons behind it. But even those user who do not uses internet much, which is the main source of viruses, mal-ware, Trojans etc.. still feel their computer is slower with time.


Is it any way related to windows registry?

Yes, the windows registry is the central database of any computer running the Windows Operating System. The registry has all of your computer configurations for users, software install as well as uninstall and hardware, hardware driver(s) installed.

As you use your computer day by day, due to programs installations and uninstalling, and other activities. Every such event leaves its traces in your windows registry. Making it bigger and bigger day by day. And worst of all it becomes fragmented with a lot of junk and useless entries.

Is it memory management?
Any how you are using your applications they are using your computer RAM and Hard Drive, Loading, unloading, reading and writing every part of both memory devices. Making is fragmented as well with every single minute passed.Swap files a good arrangement in windows to support working of applications using larger memory area (RAM) then available in your computer, makes it slower with time due to paging, fragmentation and size.

Is there any security problem as well?
Yes, since the registry has information about your entire computer it's important this area should be secure and free of infections. While this area is main target of spy-ware and viruses. Who can make the system even slower.


Possible Solution:

1. You can manually clean the Windows registry, but deleting wrong entries may corrupt your computer! Therefore, until you know what you are doing, leave it!
2. Cleaning the Windows registry is one of the most important tasks in securing your computer and your personal information. It will help a lot to speed up your computer's performance. You can use any technique like cleaner software, System Restore points, Registry Backup and Restore etc.
3. Do restart your computer when not in use even close your internet connection. It will also help you indirectly by getting new IP on reboot of your computer and/or internet router.
4. Clean your browser history, document usage histories, temporary windows files, temporary internet files, Recycle Bin in regular intervals. You can do it easily, manually!
4. Use windows Hibernate feature least possible, as it is not good for your memory usage optimizations.
5. Always use purchased good quality Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware and other safety products. Never rely on Cracked versions, as they may have Trojans and viruses.
